For the most part we live in a disposable society where products are designed to fail or become outdated quickly to encourage discarding and replacing them after minimal use rather than repairing and restoring them; therefore, it only makes sense for us to feel that when we’ve blown it big time we’re sidelined and of no further use. But as we follow the steps of the Savior and watch as He restores Peter to a position to be used of Jesus once again, we see that past failures, once forgiven, should not hinder us from future usefulness.
